Overcoming the Fear of Death

I struggled as a believer with the fear of death. I felt that as a believer I should not fear the unknown. I usually am ok with this scenario until it is too close for comfort. Like a doctors appointment for an new issue. I have concluded the only thing we can do is ask God for peace in Jesus name and for his will to be done and to accept it . The real issue is our true faith in Jesus Christ. Do we truly believe that we are saved? Until you find peace in being saved and your relationship with Christ is growing steadily through an active prayer and bible reading then this fear will continue to hold domain over truth.
